David Haye vs Tyson Fury Rescheduled

David Haye (26-2, 24 KOs) was suppose to take on Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KOs) this Saturday Sep. 28, but the fight was postponed due to a deep cut suffered by David Haye. The much anticipated match between these two heavyweights will now take place Feb. 8, 2014. The fight will take place at the Phone 4u Arena in Manchester, England. The same venue the event was suppose to take place at this weekend.

After months of twitter battles it was sad news so close to the fight date that this match had to be cancelled and rescheduled. We can expect more twitter wars between these two up until their next fight date for next year.

David Haye is bummed by his injury breaks out the history books to help defend his injury. “The Rumble in the Jungle” George Foreman was cut eight days before his bout with Muhammad Ali. Sugar Ray suffered knocked down in sparring a week prior to fighting Hagler. Stuff happens in the sport of boxing, but sometimes we need to wait for the fights we want to see so badly.

For the United States and Canada luckily we have other fights to fill our needs that were scheduled on the same day. Fans can watch the return of Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. as he takes on Brian Vera. Then from Montreal, Canada we have knockout sensation Adonis Stevenson fighting Tavoris Cloud so not all is lost this weekend with these entertaining stars to still look forward to.
