Gennady Golovkin to Face Curtis Stevens Nov. 2


Many boxing fans are wondering who Gennady Golovkin might be possibly taking on next. Well the answer to that question has finally came. Many also assumed Golovkin might wait for the winner of Saturday’s match between Daniel Geale and Darren Barker before mentioning an opponent. Well Gennady Golovkin decided to let the boxing public know before the fight that he will be taking on Curtis Stevens.

This has been a topic in some boxing circles as a possible match. The topic was not taking too seriously until Curtis Stevens disposed of his last opponent Saul Roman in just one round. Curtis Stevens took over two years off, but now has been on a 4 fight win streak since his return. All of these fights Stevens has looked sensational.

Gennady Golovkin has been showcasing his sensational power and has became known as one of the most feared men in the sport of boxing. Boxing fans cannot wait soon enough for Sergio Martinez to heal and any decent opponent for Golovkin is now starting to draw major attention.

Many of Gennady Golovkin’s opposition feel they got what it takes to defeat him, but all of them had been proven wrong thus far. Will Curtis Stevens be any different?

We will find out come November 2, 2013 when Gennady Golovkin is set to take on Curtis Stevens at Madison Square Garden in New York.
