Deontay+Wilder

The 2008 U.S. bronze medalist continues his climb up the heavyweight rankings as the “Bronze Bomber” Deontay Wilder is set to face Sergei Liakhovich. This will be his toughest challenge thus far as Sergei Liakhovich was a former title holder. Deontay Wilder is undefeated t 28-0-0 and all his wins came by way of knockout. Deontay is a physical beast standing 6-foot-7 and weighing 226 pounds, he may be the heavyweight the United States has been waiting for.

Deontay Wilder vs Sergei Liakhovich will be the main event and is what Wilder needs to get his talents main stream, as he is a hope to the once best division in boxing.

The match is scheduled to take place on August 9th on Showtime and will be a triple header featuring young up and coming knockout talent. Other fighters on the card will be Jermall Charlo (14-0-0) not to be confused with his twin brother who was recently televised himself on the undercard of Maidana vs Lopez.
