Mayweather and Wladimir Klitschko Dominate May Day; Canelo Next? [Video]

May 4th was another huge night for boxing as its biggest stars shined bright with dominating performances. Floyd Mayweather Jr. showed the world that he is still the best defensive fighter on the planet with a dominating performance over Robert Guerrero.

Now that Money May promised fans he’ll fight again in on Mexican Independence Day in September, everyone wants to know who he will fight. The world is hoping for a Mayweather vs. Canelo fight.

As mentioned by Brian Ethridge in this edition of “Hit the Mitts,” Mayweather does not have many excuses for ducking Canelo.

With Manny Pacquiao out of the picture, Mayweather vs. Canelo would likely be the most lucrative fight in boxing history. Since both fighters go through Golden Boy Promotions, it could actually happen.

Mayweather dodged questions of a Canelo fight like he dodged Robert Guerrero all night. But to his credit, the only time Mayweather had his next foe lined up directly after a fight is when Sugar Shane Mosely interrupted his post fight interview.

Make Mayweather Jr. mad, and he’s more likely to fight you.

Wladimir Klitschko also took care of business on Saturday. We touch on his knockout win over Francesco Pianeta as well.
