Haye vs. Chisora in the ring was now bound to happen. The two best heavyweights the U.K. has to offer in a mega heavyweight bout. The two men with extreme hate to battle in what would surely become a brawl. Who would leave with one hand raised?
The answer to that question was given on July 14th when David Haye officially took on Dereck Chisora in Upton Park, London. The bout started with Haye’s speed being too much for Chisora. Chisora would put pressure on Haye trying to get Haye into a brawl. Haye felt some of Chisora’s power in the 4th. It seemed like Chisora was going to heat up the rest of the fight as he raced off his stool entering the 5th round. Than with roughly a minute left in the round, Haye delivered a Hayemaker that blind sided Chisora and sent Chisora to the canvas. Dereck Chisora got up with survival mode on his mind. Haye was like a shark that smelt blood and went in for the kill. Chisora was not able to survive and fell to the canvas once again in the final seconds of round 5. The referee than waved the fight as David Haye was declared the victor with a 5th round knockout.
After the bout David Haye gave Dereck Chisora a hug and complimented Chisora on being a tough opponent and future champion.
