After the controversial split decision in favor of Timothy Bradley, Top Rank’s Bob Arum requested an investigation of the title bout that took place June 9th. Many fans were outraged with the decision and wanted immediate explanations on how the fight was scored. Was there foul play? Were the judges slipped briefcases with money prior to the match? A lot of crazy scenarios popped in to peoples minds on how the judges can rule in favor for Bradley when many felt that Pacquiao clearly dominated the fight. Arum sought for an investigation June 11th, the week following the fight.

The Nevada State Attorney General  stated there was no wrongdoing. No criminal activity was found. Due to no evidence the matter is considered closed. Referee was interviewed, but the judges were not. Five WBO officials also reviewed the fight and ruled that Manny Pacquiao was the winner.

Despite all this boxing behind the scenes drama, whether you like it or not, Timothy Bradley will keep his WBO belt, have a win over Manny Pacquiao, and still have a zero in his loss column.

Bob Arum’s punishment for Bradley will most likely be that Bradley will not get in the ring for the rest of 2012. Khan vs. Bradley is a fight that has been discussed in boxing circles, but due to the Top Rank, Golden Boy cold war that fight most likely will not happen. If Pacquiao wanted vengence and his belt back he can rematch Bradley November 10th, but another Marquez rematch is heavily favored with Top Rank on that date because it will be more lucrative.
